(SOLD OUT) Robots at the Seder: Passover and the Exodus in Science Fiction

When

Sunday, April 7, 2024
7:00pm - 8:30pm

Event Type

As Passover draws near, join an out-of-this-world evening with Beth El’s Rabbi Josh, the “Sci-Fi Rabbi,” at the Lehrhaus (425 Washington St., Somerville). The class will begin with a close and dramatic reading of a classic Isaac Asimov robot story that contrasts the ancient text of the Exodus with modern themes, including the ethics (and perils) of AI. We will also explore a contemporary short story on Passover’s evolving rituals as humanity reaches for the stars. Be sure to bring your own ways to engage the next generation at this year’s seder!

Tickets start at $10 and utilize a pay-what-you-can model. Click here to purchase and get more information on location and parking.
