Young Families for Social Justice

Dive into fun and delicious activities for kids and families around a social justice theme in September 2023!

Saturday, Sept. 17 — “Earth, Apples and Pollinators” at Honey Pot Hill Orchards. Learn why we must protect our pollinators as we pick and taste apples. The event will include age-appropriate tashlich (symbolic casting off of sins).

Sunday, Sept. 10 and Friday, Sept. 22 — As part of Beth El’s pre-Yom Kippur food drive, visit our preK-6 classes and bring cans of food as we learn about food insecurity.

Friday, Sept. 29 (5:30–8:30 p.m.) — Shabbat in the Beth El Sukkah with food and music! Kid-friendly service open to all ages (this will take place indoors if the weather is bad).

Registration is required for all events; click here to register for any or all. More activities to come as part of Young Families for Social Justice. For more information, email Director of Youth and Family Education Scott Newman at educationdirector@bethelsudbury.org.
