Rabbi Rachael Bregman is the rabbi at the only synagogue in Brunswick, Georgia – the town where Ahmaud Arbery was murdered in 2020. Rabbi Bregman will share how her experiences in Brunswick have shaped her understanding of racial equity, privilege and dialogue, and Judaism’s intersection with these ideas.
Rabbi Bregman grew up at Beth El and served as its Youth Educator before being ordained as a Reform rabbi in 2010. She is excited to “return” to Beth El via Zoom to help us commemorate Martin Luther King Day 2022.
