Beth El’s next Shabbat guest leader: Cantor Marcie Jonas

Cantor Marcie Jonas will co-lead Friday & Saturday morning services with Rabbi Briendel as well as offer an inspirational Torah study session Saturday morning 

Cantor Marcie Jonas has been connected to Jewish music for more than 40 years. With her Masters from JTS in New York City, a B.A. from Ithaca College in Speech communication, and her ordination from Hebrew College, her personal connection to the synagogue environment has helped her to be keenly aware of the development of the synagogue service and the role that music plays in that process. Cantor Jonas serves congregations in the Greater Boston Area, she teaches at Hebrew College and is a VP on the Alumni Board. She welcomes opportunities to create deep musical connections with her community.
