Attend a local Juneteenth celebration, and then in the evening, join the Rinah musicians and Beth El clergy for a musical Shabbat shaped by the motifs of Pride month. We’ll celebrate Black and LGBTQ+ Jewish voices and history in song, speech and prayer. Beth El member Jo Rothman (they/them) will share a personal reflection.

Local Juneteenth Events

  • Sudbury: 11am-3pm at Sudbury United Methodist Church, 251 Old Sudbury Road, Sudbury. 11am Concert featuring the SUMC Gospel Group and guest trumpeter James Tinsley, followed by a picnic at noon. Attendees are invited to bring their own picnic lunch and a snack to share. 
  • Concord: 12pm-3pm at the historic Robbins House front lawn. (320 Monument Street, Concord, MA) There will be musical performances from area groups and food trucks. Come join the fun and celebrate this American holiday of freedom, resilience, and community.
  • Natick: 11am-1pm on the Natick Town Common. There will be delicious food by Mig’s Dogs, fun activities, and musical performances by Drum Nomads, and Izii IsReal & Elita StaRR. The event will begin with Kadian James, a Caribbean-born Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, speaking on Juneteenth. 
  • Framingham
    • Friday June 19th: Annual Juneteenth Flagraising Program, 12pm at Memorial Building Plaza (150 Concord St, Framingham MA). Speakers are Jesse Edwards, DEI Officer, City of Framingham; JT Araujo, Framingham High School Student; Tracey Bryant, District 9 City Councilor; and keynote speaker, Dr. Jeffrey K. Coleman, Vice President and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Framingham State University.
    • Sat. June 20th: JuneteenthFest 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, June 20th, from 1:00-6:00pm, at Farm Pond Park (100 Dudley Street), in Framingham, MA. This event is free to the public: inclusive of admission, food and beverages. There will be no alcohol served. Also featured will be vendors, games/activities, arts & crafts, picture booth, music, raffle, scholarship awards, guest speaker and live performances.
