This is a one-time introduction to the new Wise Aging program that will be offered in Fall 2024 through Spring 2025 by Rabbi Josh Breindel and Cantor Vera Broekhuysen. The Wise Aging program will cover issues and strategies for aging well, including cultivating nourishing relationships, accepting our aging bodies, forgiveness, living with loss, legacy, and more.
At each session, participants will have opportunities for text study, personal sharing, and mindfulness meditation. It is based on the book Wise Aging: Living with Joy, Resilience, and Spirit by Rabbi Rachel Cowen and Dr. Lynda Thal. The program will be led by a series of expert facilitators that will include clergy and members. The program runs from November 2024 through May 2025, with participation both in person and via Zoom.
