In 2015, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin told his country that it no longer had a majority and a minority. It had four tribes (secular, national-religious, Haredi, and Arab) who would have to find a way to share one state. Jonathan Golden of OpenDor Media will open with a short presentation that uses Rivlin’s framework to read the latest Israeli election results: who voted for whom, which tribes gained or lost influence, and what it means for coalition-building and the country’s future. Then we’ll open the floor for a conversation about the election results and what Rivlin’s vision continues to mean for Israel. Registration required.
