The Evolving Relationship Between American Jews and Israel, part 2

When

Wednesday, May 8, 2024
6:30pm - 8:00pm

Event Type

As news from Israel continues to make headlines, many of us are working to find a sense of meaning and context around Israel in our lives. In these three sessions at Beth El and on Zoom, we will explore how the American-Jewish community’s perception of Israel has evolved over the decades, and look at changing generational perspectives on Israel’s role in our sense of Jewish identity. Using materials from the Shalom Hartman Institute, our sessions will be enhanced by text study, multimedia, and art. Join us as we learn about one another’s experiences with trust and love.

The evening will begin with an Israeli style dinner at 6:30, with class starting at 7:00.  Class will be in person and on Zoom. Registration and prepayment ($18pp) are required for dinner. Click here to register.

The last session will be on May 22.

Sponsored by the Beth El Adult Education Committee.
