Shabbat Rinah: Proud & Free

Attend a local Juneteenth celebration, and then in the evening, join the Rinah musicians and Beth El clergy for a musical Shabbat shaped by the motifs of Pride month. We’ll celebrate Black and LGBTQ+ Jewish voices and history in song, speech and prayer. Beth El member Jo Rothman (they/them) will share a personal reflection.

Local Juneteenth Events

• Sudbury: 11am-3pm at Sudbury United Methodist Church, 251 Old Sudbury Road, Sudbury. 11am Concert featuring the SUMC Gospel Group and guest trumpeter James Tinsley, followed by a picnic at noon. Attendees are invited to bring their own picnic lunch and a snack to share. 
• Framingham (on Sat. June 20th): JuneteenthFest 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, June 20th, from 1:00-6:00pm, at Farm Pond Park (100 Dudley Street), in Framingham, MA. This event is free to the public: inclusive of admission, food and beverages. There will be no alcohol served. Also featured will be vendors, games/activities, arts & crafts, picture booth, music, raffle, scholarship awards, guest speaker and live performances.
