Join us for a multi-congregation Metrowest Culture Fest Havdalah at Temple Beth Sholom (50 Pamela Rd., Framingham) featuring the music of both Ashkenazi and Mizrahi traditions with classically trained violist Yoni Battat. At the heart of Yoni’s musical identity lies a deep investment in world music and improvisation. His interest first blossomed as he explored the Klezmer idiom as an up-and-coming fiddler. Since getting his first oud at age 16, he has been fascinated with Arabic music and the music of his Iraqi Jewish family.
