Celebrate Torah, learning, music, and the power of shared story with keynote artist Neta Weiner and many talented teachers at Temple Israel of Natick (145 Hartford St.). The event will be in person and accessible via livestream.

“Beat Midrash” keynote teaching shared by Neta Weiner

This session will explore the deep connection between artistic creation and social-political engagement. Through songs and spoken word in Arabic, Hebrew, English, and Yiddish, we’ll reflect on shared identity, collective responsibility, and the stories we choose to tell — all in service of building the kind of home we want to live in together.

Neta Weiner is a multidisciplinary artist, rapper, playwright, and activist whose work bridges music, language, and resistance. A founding member of the groundbreaking collective System Ali and creator of the award-winning rap opera “Shmuel,” he performs in Arabic, Hebrew, Yiddish, and English, using art for political intervention and social transformation. Neta is a 2024-2025 JArts Community Creative Fellow.
