The Liturgy of Shabbat (first class in series)

Have you ever wanted to become more familiar with the words, melodies and whys of our Shabbat services? This course is for those who want to learn to lead services and for those who want to learn about them. The first six sessions in the fall will concentrate on Shabbat (Friday) evening services. The next eight sessions in the spring will concentrate on Shabbat (Saturday) morning services. Sessions will be in person at Beth El and on Zoom. Register here.

• Saturday, Oct. 31 at 1:30pm – Kabbalat Shabbat – Psalms
• Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 7:30pm – L’cha Dodi and Psalm 92
• Saturday, Dec. 5 at 1:30pm – Hashkiveinu, Mi Chamocha, and V’sham’ru
• Saturday, Dec. 19 at 1:30pm – The Shema and blessings
• Saturday<, Jan. 2, 2027 at 1:30pm – The Amidah, Alenu, Kaddish Yatom, and Oseh Shalom
