The High Holidays are filled with discussions about forgiveness. Asking others for forgiveness, responding to others asking us for forgiveness. However, the liturgy does not speak about self-forgiveness, and speaker David Daniel Klipper thinks this is a vital omission. Self-forgiveness is both a highly spiritual act and a necessity for having a live filled with serenity and joy. Klipper gives a talk on this subject annually, but come at it with a new focus each year, for everyone who has circumstances or behaviors in their past that they find difficult to forgive.
