Tisha b’Av Observance

Tisha b’Av commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem and other painful periods in Jewish history, and is also an opportunity for us to share our grief about the brokenness of the world today. We will gather in candle-lit silence, in prayer and meditation, and with the beautiful, haunting melodies of the book of Eichah (Lamentations.) Finding strength in loving community together, perhaps we can move through our mourning to greater hope and commitment to bring healing to our world.
