SUMMARY:Simchat Torah Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Given the uniqueness of this season (with all of the festivitie
 s and emotions of Lorel’s L’hitra’ot weekend)\, we have scheduled ou
 r Simchat Torah observance for the evening of Tuesday\, September 28. This
  will enable all of us to reflect and catch our breath after the power of 
 the weekend\, and then to re-unite with energy and delight.\n\nWe have pla
 nned our celebration to maintain as many of our traditions as possible\, w
 hile still taking COVID precautions. We will gather in the sanctuary for a
  ceremony of taking the scrolls out of the ark. Our musicians will lead a 
 parade from the sanctuary to the outdoors (weather permitting)\, with our 
 Torah scrolls in the lead. After dancing\, we will reconvene in the sanctu
 ary to read from the beginning and end of each book. Finally\, we will cha
 nge our Torah covers and replace the scrolls in the ark.\n\nWith an eye on
  the safety of the community\, we will livestream the parts of the celebra
 tion that take place in the sanctuary and will provide snacks-to-go.\n\nHe
