 on de Dios in Alotenango\, Guatemala. Since 2002\, this preK–9 school ha
 s provided effective education for the poorest families who cannot afford 
 the costs of public education as well as community support\, such as housi
 ng development. Under the Same Moon is the all-volunteer American fund-rai
 sing arm for the school\, providing about one-third of the operating budge
 t as well as special extras such as food baskets and bonuses for the teach
 ers.
