DESCRIPTION:Rabbi Yosef Goldman and Yoni Avi Battat share an exciting eveni
 ng of Mizrahi music from Kedmah: The Rising Song Piyyut Project. We’ll m
 ake Havdalah together and then dive into a rich offering of sacred music a
 nd poetry from the world of Middle Eastern Jewry.\n\nKedmah excavates the 
 power and beauty of Mizrahi Jewish expression through ancient sacred poetr
 y and song known as piyyut. Their debut album\, Simu Lev (Rising Song Reco
 rds)\, was released in April 2024\, and their public performances have bee
 n met with acclaim\, including their debut at the Weitzman National Museum
  of American Jewish History in Philadelphia and a sold-out concert at the 
 Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage in Washington\, D.C.\n\nPart musical ens
 emble and part educational initiative\, their interactive concerts and wor
 kshops in schools\, synagogues\, concert halls\, and universities introduc
 e diverse audiences to the rich history and heritage of Middle Eastern Jew
 s\, fostering a deeper appreciation for the diversity of Jewish heritage a
 nd adds nuance to dichotomies of Jew and Arab\, offering a fresh lens on t
 he cultural overlaps of Jews with their neighbors in Arab lands.\n\nTicket
