SUMMARY:Guided Bird Walk
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our first-ever Beth El bird walk at Great Me
 adows National Wildlife Refuge in Concord (click here for a description an
 d directions). The walk is for total novices as well as experienced birder
 s\; we will all learn from one another. We will walk for about 2 miles alo
 ng level but probably muddy trails and are likely to see and hear a nice v
 ariety of springtime birds. In addition to viewing the birds and chatting 
 about their natural history\, we will have a chance to practice “auditor
 y mindfulness” as we listen to the early morning bird song.\n\nYou can e
 ither meet us at Beth El at 6:00am or at Great Meadows NWR at 6:30am. Ther
 e is a nominal fee for parking at the refuge. Please bring binoculars if y
 ou have them (we will have a couple extra to share\, but please bring your
  own if you can). Be prepared for cool weather and muddy trails. The event
  will be canceled if it is raining hard\; light rain will not dissuade us!
