DESCRIPTION:The New England Jewish Labor Committee (NEJLC) will honor Canto
 r Vera Broekhuysen&nbsp\;with their Abraham Joshua Heschel Award for Leade
 rship in the Jewish Community at the New England Jewish Labor Seder on Sun
 day\, March 30. The event is a unique interfaith and inter-community award
 s dinner that ties the rituals and stories of Passover to contemporary lab
 or struggles. Each year\, NEJLC awards a leader from organized labor and f
 rom the Jewish community who exemplify values of justice for all workers\,
  and tikkun olam (repairing the world).&nbsp\;\n\nNEJLC recognizes Cantor 
 Vera’s work for justice for all workers through her spiritual leadership
  in\nCongregation Beth El and her work with the Merrimack Valley Interfait
 h Sanctuary Network. “Cantor Vera is a shining example for a new generat
 ion of Jewish communal leaders\, and NEJLC is honored to celebrate her eff
 orts to achieve justice for all workers\,” the organization says.\n\nThe
  labor awardee is Joe Bonfiglio\, business manager of the Massachusetts an
 d Northern New England Laborers’ District Council. Several organizations
  will also be recognized with Bread and Roses Awards for Courageous Workpl
 ace Action and for Organizing in a New Field.\n\nTickets to the seder\, wh
 ich will be held at the IBEW Local 103 Function Hall (226 Freeport St #1\,
  Dorchester) are $18–$36 and can be purchased here. Doors open at 4:30pm
