DESCRIPTION:We’re blessed to have many protected natural areas near Beth 
 El. Members of the Beth El community are invited to join any of three morn
 ing walks in local conservation areas on Tuesdays\, &nbsp\;May 26 with a p
 ossible extension to June 2. While we’ll be particularly attentive to bi
 rds\, we’ll open our senses to all aspects of nature. We’ll walk at a 
 slow pace with frequent pauses to observe\, covering up to 2 miles in dist
 ance. Join us even if you have no experience with bird watching. We’ll l
 earn together how to spot and identify birds by sight and sound.\n\nConser
 vation areas we may visit include the Assabet National Wildlife Refuge\, D
 rumlin Farm\, Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge\, various town conser
 vation areas in Sudbury and adjacent towns\, and Sudbury Valley Trustees p
 roperties. Steve Breit is organizing these walks and will announce the des
 tination and parking location by email a day or two in advance. We’ll le
 ave the designated parking area at 7:30 a.m. and return by 9 a.m. or short
 ly after.\n\nWe’ll be walking on flat or mildly graded trails. Participa
 nts should wear sturdy shoes and long pants with socks that you can pull o
 ver the pants for tick protection. Bring a walking stick if you need it fo
 r stability. Binoculars are desirable but not essential — Steve has a co
 uple extras to loan. The Merlin Bird ID app can be very helpful — instal
 l it on your phone before you leave home.\n\nRSVP
