SUMMARY:An Intercongregational Shabbaton: An Exploration of the Psalms
DESCRIPTION:Experience a special opportunity to learn with members of four 
 co-sponsoring congregations as Rabbi Emerita Yael Levy\, founder and rabbi
 nic director of the website A Way In\, leads a spiritual exploration of th
 e Psalms. Her teachings offer “a way in” to spiritual practice and awa
 reness that addresses universal issues. People of diverse faiths are welco
 me — the Psalms are not exclusively Jewish!\n\nFriday\, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p
 .m. — Temple Kerem Shalom\, Concord\nRabbi Levy will participate in the 
 Shabbat service. Her presentation will relate to her newly published book\
 , Psalms\, Ancient Songs for These Times. An informal\, dessert reception 
 will follow.\nSaturday\, Nov. 7 at 10:30 a.m.\, 4:00 p.m.\, and 6:00 p.m. 
 — Congregation Beth El\, Sudbury\nRabbi Levy will participate in Shabbat
  morning services. Her teachings will be based on her new book on the psal
 ms. We will then enjoy a festive oneg lunch. At 4:00 p.m.\, she will give 
 a meditative presentation\, followed by Havdalah.\nSunday\, Nov. 8 at 1:00
  pm — Temple Beth Torah in Holliston\, in collaboration with Temple Etz 
 Chaim in Franklin\nRabbi Levy will offer a presentation including poetry\,
  meditation and teachings. Light refreshments will be served.&nbsp\;\n\n\n
 \n\nWhere possible\, all sessions will be hybrid (in person at the hosting
  synagogue and on Zoom). Pre-registration is required for each session.&nb
 sp\;\nAbout Rabbi Yael Levy:\nA graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinic
 al College\, Rabbi Levy worked with the Institute for Jewish Spirituality.
  She co-leads retreats\, is writing an online mindfulness guide to weekly 
 Torah portions and has written several books\, including the recent "Psalm
 s\, Ancient Songs for These Times\," which will provide grist for the Shab
 baton's explorations. Named one of “America’s Most Inspiring Rabbis”
  by the Jewish Forward\, she creates online teachings\, unique\, contempla
 tive\, Shabbat and holiday services and Jewish mindfulness classes.
