SUMMARY:An Intercongregational Shabbaton: An Exploration of the Psalms
DESCRIPTION:Experience a special opportunity to learn with members of four 
 co-sponsoring congregations as Rabbi Emerita Yael Levy\, founder and rabbi
 nic director of the website A Way In\, leads a spiritual exploration of th
 e Psalms. Her teachings offer “a way in” to spiritual practice and awa
 reness that addresses universal issues. People of diverse faiths are welco
 me — the Psalms are not exclusively Jewish!\n\nFriday\, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p
 .m. — Temple Kerem Shalom\, Concord\nRabbi Levy will participate in the 
 Shabbat service (in person &amp\; by Zoom). Her presentation will relate t
 o her newly published book\, Psalms\, Ancient Songs for These Times. An in
 formal\, dessert reception will follow.&nbsp\;\nSaturday\, Nov. 7 — Cong
 regation Beth El\, Sudbury\n10:30 a.m. Rabbi Levy will participate in our 
 Shabbat morning services (in person &amp\; by Zoom &amp\; Livestream). Her
  teachings will be based on her new book on the psalms. We will then enjoy
  a festive oneg lunch.&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; 4pm
 : Waters of Salvation: An Exploration of Psalms and a Call into the Expans
 e\nPsalms shout in joy\, wail in sorrow and cry out with abandon. During t
 his afternoon gathering we will follow full Psalms and Psalm verses as the
 y guide us through fear\, tumult and challenge into hope and possibility. 
 We'll conclude with Havdalah.&nbsp\;\n  Pre-register to attend events 
 at Beth El.&nbsp\;\n\nSunday\, Nov. 8 at 1:00 pm — Temple Beth Torah in 
 Holliston\, in collaboration with Temple Etz Chaim in Franklin\nRabbi Levy
  will offer a presentation including poetry\, meditation and teachings. Li

  event is in-person only.*\n\n\n\nAbout Rabbi Yael Levy:\nA graduate of th
 e Reconstructionist Rabbinical College\, Rabbi Levy worked with the Instit
 ute for Jewish Spirituality. She co-leads retreats\, is writing an online 
 mindfulness guide to weekly Torah portions and has written several books\,
  including the recent "Psalms\, Ancient Songs for These Times\," which wil
 l provide grist for the Shabbaton's explorations. Named one of “America
 ’s Most Inspiring Rabbis” by the Jewish Forward\, she creates online t
 eachings\, unique\, contemplative\, Shabbat and holiday services and Jewis
 h mindfulness classes.
