Beth El Preschool
Beth El Preschool strives to provide a child-centered learning environment that is dedicated to the continued growth and development of each child. Through carefully selected professionals and developmentally appropriate curricula we provide the fertile environment necessary for the social, emotional, physical and spiritual growth of the young child.
Children at Beth El Preschool are given the freedom to choose activities based on their natural curiosities and daily interests. The warmth of our child-centered atmosphere encourages children to grow at their own rate of development. Children are given as much time as they need to explore, experience and incorporate new ideas into their lives. Teachers at Beth El Preschool approach the children with warmth, respect and honesty, creating a carefully monitored balance of consistency and familiarity with challenge and inquiry. We are committed to providing a preschool that honors and promotes a zest for life and that provides a sound basis for further growth.
Children experience the beauty and joy of Jewish holidays, customs and culture in a creative and nurturing environment. It is the goal of the preschool to build upon and nourish the spirit and joy of Jewish tradition which begins in the home, while fostering respect for the varied backgrounds and observances of the preschool families. A special Shabbat celebration is held each Friday in all classes. The children assist in setting the Shabbat table, lighting the candles, reciting the brachot (blessings) and eating challah (bread). At Beth El, Judaism is a natural part of the total on-going life experiences of the child.
