Chai Guys Softball Team

Our softball team, better known as the Chai Guys, isn’t as much a brotherhood as it is a band of brothers. These Jews don’t just feel as if they are related to each other, they feel connected to the many other men in our synagogue and to many Jews in the greater Boston area. As a member of the MSSL (Men’s Shul Softball League) these physically able men interact with many other “competing” Jews and build bonds that endure beyond the softball diamond.
Our Chai Guys, while not the MSSL reigning champions, have dedicated a little time on Sundays to exercise, laugh and enjoy each other’s company. In the spirit of Beth El, they represent us and have created their own unique slice of our community. And even though they don’t win every game, they certainly come away from their Spring Sunday mornings with an immeasurable satisfaction of spending a couple hours enjoying each other’s company. In addition, they are in charge of erecting and de-constructing Beth El’s Sukkah every year.
Our Chai Guys play their games in the Spring and should you wish to cheer them on or simply enjoy Sunday mornings with them, please visit www.msslonline.com to see their schedule.
